Will taking Hoodia pills help or hurt my weight loss when I am on the ATKINS Diet?

Jennifer April 10th, 2010

I have done the Atkins diet before successfully and realize that every little bit of hidden sugar and carbs (like in diet sodas) will slow down your weight loss dramatically. What I was wondering is if I am doing the Atkins diet, would taking Hoodia pills help me in my weight loss or slow it down ?

With my personel experience I think hoodia will only help your weight loss process. I would think that if you take hoodia you could discontinue the atkins diet. Ive been very pleased with the results from hoodia.

Firstly you can lose as much weight as you want in a short time period, however, you will gain it back. I am speaking from experience from someone who has been there done that with fad diets. There is the obvious liposuction, however, the recovery time is 3 – 6 months and it sounds as though that you’re in a rush to lose the weight for possibly an event with no downtime to spare. I am and have been on weight watchers for 2 years and lost 25 lbs. It was a slow and steady race, however, I haven’t gained the weight back ‘cause my diet has been stabilized and so was the weight loss from 0.5 – 1 lb/week.

Remember the weight gain didn’t happen overnight, it happened slowly over time, the same is with proper healthy weight loss, you can’t have/perform miracles over night.

These are some things that I do.

1.Drink lots of water as it kept me full longer.
2.Used an appetite suppressant like hoodie to make sure I don’t go over my daily calorie intake.
    3.Did cardio and toning 3 – 4 times a week.
4.Made meal and recipe modifications as I cooked.
5.When I dined out, I made sure that I wasn’t shy about asking the kitchen to make modifications like dressing/sauce on the side, half portion ordered the kids meal etc.
6.Brushing teeth after every meal, the mint acts like an appetite suppressant and without the taste in your mouth, you can easily forget about the food.
7.Never drank diet cola, the aspartame actually made me crave food more for some reason.
8.At work I take a break before lunch and either take the stairs in the building or just general toning without weights. We have a gym at work so I do about 15 minutes of weights which not only gets my blood flowing but releases tension from a**hole customers.

ick. You’re gonna gain back any weight you lose on Atkins. I tried Atkins back in the day. I lost about 20 lbs, but I had bad breath, felt like crap, and then I gained it all back and then some when I transitioned back into normal eating. Atkins really isn’t sustainable long-term. Just go vegan and don’t take any diet pills. You’ll lose weight in a healthy way, and not end up putting it all back on!

Experts are devising different types of diet so people get to achieve their ideal weight. One of many diets one can use today is the Atkins weight loss program. The Atkins weight loss program is known as the low carbohydrates, low fat diet and usually runs for six months.
Those who choose to follow the Atkins weight loss diet are required to reduce their carbohydrate intake to just 30 grams per day. As for fats, they can only eat the healthy type of fat, like omega-3 fatty acids. Atkins dieters are also need to control the amount of calorie they gain from fatty foods to only 30% of their total diet.
The main force behind the Atkins weight loss program is the fact that if the body doesn’t get the necessary fuel it needs from carbohydrates, it would get it from other sources. And as such, it will turn to fats to get the energy it requires.
The Atkins weight loss program is divided into four phases. The first phase is called induction, wherein you get to eat little to no carbohydrates throughout its length. The maximum carbohydrate you can consume is only 20 grams everyday. Phase two is called the ‘ongoing weight loss phase’. In this phase, you can slowly put back carbohydrates into your diet. From 20 grams during the induction phase, you can now take as much as 25 grams.
