omg this is a retarded experiment. No shit you’re hungry if you eat only 200kcal ? :D

I’ve proved reviews like this wrong years ago. I used Slim Fast (shakes rather than bars) when I was 18/19 for 2 months. I lost 28lbs and went from 38″ waist to a 32″ (I’m actually 30″ now almost). I’m 26 now and I’m still the exact same weight I was when I finished Slim Fast. Tastes excellent too! I also do a reasonable amount of exercise (something many users of Slim Fast fail miserably to do an hence put the weight back on). Slim Fast works and works well.

Agreed. If you diet, you eat less, hence you’ll feel hungry. “Simplezz”. Its about will power and exercise!

I only get a few protein bars once in a while. That said, I can rest easy saying I’ve never had any of these ones.

I’m eating one Labrada leanbody gold bar every day. One has 30g of protein and 30g of carbohydrades (7g of sugar) and 300 calories. They might not be as healthy as organges or apples, but its better to eat that, than being hungry.

I have a meal replacement bar that has 410 calories but a whopping 32g of protein. It also has plenty of vitamins.

wtf man ill mow down some oranges and apples.

way before some lab biosynthesisised protein bars.

    mmmmm Genetically modified corn starch.

just like mom used to Bio-engineer.
    :P

  11. derbigpr500on 29 Oct 2009 at 7:17 pm

But you wont get nearly enough protein if you eat only organes and apples.
Oh , and genetically modified food is better than natural food. It MODIFIED, all faults were removed, so it grows perfectly, as it would grow in nature under perfect conditions, but those perfect conditions are not possible in nature.

well who the hell would only eat oranges and apples in the first place?

    Variety w1ns foo1

  13. buopesadoon 25 Nov 2009 at 11:03 pm

I wouldn’t consider any of these as a meal replacement bar anyway…Personally, I LOVE having a powerbar performance energy bar right before my workout (provide that energy boost I need for P90X), and I’ve tried the balance and kashi bars (they suck) as a snack.

  17. seansactivelifestyleon 11 Feb 2010 at 10:09 pm

The powerbar performance isn’t a meal replacement bar… And it doesn’t fill u up because it’s used for marathoners and bikers while racing for quick energy. Full feeling = blah while running, and we all know what fiber does to you while running?!?!? Lol…

Those things taste like crap anyway.

  19. xboxdragondudeon 17 Feb 2010 at 9:32 pm

    She said handful of nuts!

  20. OtorresFitnesson 24 Feb 2010 at 7:39 pm

Eat a can of tuna instead. It is cheaper and you get a complete protein intake. Only chug it down with a bottle of water so you won’t suffer with the taste.

  21. OtorresFitnesson 24 Feb 2010 at 7:42 pm

A better way to take meal on the go, buy a few cans of tuna in water, a few apples, bananas and oranges, and also a few small bags of nuts. That way you have all the nutritious goodness of real food, no synthsis vitamins and will feel full and energetic. Besides, it’s a lot cheaper than buying all these protein bars anyway.
